Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 27, 2026

ThumbProof ("we", "our", or "the tool") provides a browser-based video thumbnail preview utility. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the processing, collection, and protection of information when you use our website.

Local-Only Processing and No File Uploads

ThumbProof is engineered with a strict local-first architecture. All image files, graphics, and video titles that you drag, drop, paste, or input into the tool are processed entirely within your client-side web browser using local Web APIs. Your images and text inputs are never uploaded to our servers, never stored in any cloud storage or database, and never inspected or transmitted across the network. To let you continue later, the tool keeps your current workspace (images, titles and settings) and your recent blind-test results in this browser’s local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) on your device only. This data is never sent to us, and the “Clear all” button deletes it at any time.

No User Accounts or Registration

ThumbProof does not offer user accounts. We do not require, collect, or store personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, passwords, phone numbers, or payment details. You may use all preview features freely and anonymously without creating an account.

Hosting Infrastructure and Server Logs

Our website is hosted using Cloudflare infrastructure. When you request web pages from our site, Cloudflare's edge servers automatically log standard network transmission data. These technical logs may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system, browser type, referring URL, time of access, and general network routing metadata. These logs are generated automatically for security monitoring, denial-of-service mitigation, and performance optimization, and are handled in accordance with standard infrastructure operations.

Advertising and Third-Party Cookies

To keep ThumbProof free for all creators, we display advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and web beacons to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to our website or other sites on the Internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized or contextual ads to you based on your visit to ThumbProof and other sites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. You can also manage or disable cookies through your individual browser settings.

Age Requirement and Children's Privacy

ThumbProof is intended strictly for users who are at least 16 years of age. We do not knowingly permit use by or collect information from individuals under the age of 16. If you are under 16 years old, you are not authorized to use this website.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the website following any updates indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
